Our publishing range can be neither defined nor confined by the term ‘educational publishing’. Education is our passion, but even within this title the variety of our production is staggering. We provide information sources for all walks of life; much of it is inspired by our users' demands. From cookery books to health guides, from academic dictionaries to trade reference manuals, from English language coursebooks to English language software for mobiles, we aim to further people’s knowledge worldwide in whatever situation.
Macmillan Education is proud of its international English teaching publishing and its exceptionally strong curriculum publishing programmes. The general interest titles also fill the bookshelves of trade outlets.
Within these areas, our regional publishing programmes shine brightly, with books written specially for local curricula. This country-specific publishing has proved to be Macmillan’s strength year on year with exceptional courses gaining worldwide acclaim from Spain to Saudi Arabia. Macmillan doesn't shy away from the challenges of producing courses within a tight timeframe and in difficult political climates. It's one of the huge advantages of having a reputation as a regional publisher but with the expertise of an international business prepared to support local projects.
The future of digital materials and how they will be used by teachers and students in the classroom is an important question for any educational publisher. At Macmillan Education this means constant research and development in order to understand how our current and future products might be delivered. Very few of our products are commissioned without a digital component, be that on DVD-ROM or resource website, but we're also developing other exciting initiatives for the generations of digital natives out there.
